The creation is arranged according to the Creator’s desires.  The world consists of the arrangements of human being.  The creation groans as it awaits the arrangements of the world to come into harmony with the arrangement of the Creator.

Humans and their world are entirely embedded within the Creation. We've been experiencing a momentary dissonance known as 'civilization' which remains to be resolved. It's going to take quite a trick to tune human consciousness to that resolution; but then it's all been quite a spectacular show all along!

"No human souls have been lastingly damaged in the making of this performance!"

Hi Diane,

I love the mystical "Creation groans".   The language you are using feels, to me, mystical and Native American, perhaps...but then again I really don't know that I should assume what your lens is on the Divine.

I am curious though:  can you share anything further about the way you are using the word "arrangement"?

- "consists of the arrangements of human being"

- "awaits the arrangements of the world"

- "the arrangement of the Creator."

Thanks!

Hi Olivia,

Arrangements, as I'm using the term, are ways of governing.

Thank you Diane. I spent this evening attentive to this meditation.

Thanks for this, Diane. You most likely already know about the passage in Romans that elaborates on the situation of the creation groaning and awaiting our deliverance through Christ (8:18-27). The Creator's desire for and arrangement of his creation is what is meant in the Quaker tradition by the term "gospel order."

Patricia,

Yes "gospel order" is a term that could be used for the Creator's arrangement and we are brought into harmony with it through the Light in our conscience.

And one word people use for that Light is 'Christ'. Which was particularly-well exemplified by a certain 1st Century Galilean.

Agreed, Forrest.

Hey Diane,

Yeah...I like reading your initial message with your understanding of it  -- "ways of governing".

I also like though that it evoked musical arrangements!
