Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
1A: Like democracy itself, we applaud the Court of Quaker Opinion as the voice and rule of the people.
1C: Like a theocracy, we hearken to the voice and rule of God.
1A: The basic human rights of the individual are both self-evident and inalienable.
1C: Because they are given by God, yet poorly guaranteed by democracies.
1A: Precisely why we reverence a system of government that allows an amendment to guarantee liberty of conscience.
1C: What is amen(d)able to you and your system is commanded by obedience to God.
1A: We are free even to disobey that which others claim is commanded by God.
1C: Precisely why an individual conscience is only as tender/meek/teachable as its Guide and Teacher.
1A: We have our civil courts for that purpose.
1C: With judges you have not endorsed/voted for?
1A: It's what our Constitution established so many years ago.
1C: And can be amended, or disobeyed, if enough liberty of conscience is hindered by it.
1A: What is this - a civics course?
1C: That may be Room 1A, but not Room 1C.
