Welcome to 'Over and Under' with our contestants from Team Over: Ms. Religious Right, Mr. Libertarian, and Friend Ecology; and from Team Under: Miss Silence, Mr. Independent Party, and Friend Underground Spring.

Let's start with Ms. Religious Right who argues that religion is the answer to the problems of the world - provided it's the right Religion, or the religion of the Right. In other words, over-joyed at the opportunity to take on the evils of empire; forgetting, I'm sure, the greater evils justified by state religions, let alone world religions.

Miss Silence, you're being awfully quiet over there?! I guess we'll let history speak for itself, and give this round to Team Under.

Next, Mr. Libertarian will argue for self-determination as the answer to over-coming outside interference in individual freedoms; probably not realizing the easy move from self-determination to self-interested interference in the common good/general welfare.

Mr. Independent Party seems to under-stand individual freedom as walking the solitary, if necessary, walk and not just talking the talk. Round two is ceded to Team Under as well.

Finally, we have Friend Ecology who has, at last, made an argument for what has been anticipated since the Industrial Revolution; strangely by using and over-charging, as upgrading and discarding, the toxic substances of technology. The answer here is seen to be over-bearing, at best.

Friend Underground Spring offers the same answer, albeit un-adulterated, for both the inside and outside environs of human existence.

Well, that's all the time we have for now - as Team Over feels no compunction to be under review.
