We have someone in our meeting who knows and remembers you from Manhattan Friends Meeting in Kansas. His name is Stephen Long. He and his wife (and two small kids now) moved to our meeting in Midlothian VA a few years ago. During a session at our meeting he mentioned how you were so kind to share your presence with the small group of Friends there, and Stephen indicated how it is meaningful when Friends are able to do that. Just thought I'd let you know that your efforts were remembered and appreciated.
A Lamb's War on Facebook, exactly, that's what I was going for, sure....
My main problem w/Facebook is the flip side of it's raison d'etre: that it's private conversations among networks of friends. Facebook is fine but we need to be doing more talking in pubic and not being afraid to articulate the good news we've been given.
Did you know that QuakerQuaker is 100% reader supported? Our costs run to about $50/month. If you think this kind of outreach and conversation is important, please support it with a monthly subscription or one-time gift.
