QuakerQuaker This Week, 3/13/2012

Lots of great stuff on the Quaker blogosphere this week. We're hearing a lot about Robert Griswold's "A Condition Beyond Membership" and a provocative BBC News piece that asks "Have the Quaker business leaders had their day?" 

On the activist side, Doug Bennett and Dan Seeger remember Bayard Rustin, a Friend who helped shaped the U.S. Civil Rights movement and AFSC's landmark "Speak Truth to Power" statement (this week marks the hundredth anniversary of Rustin's birth). Wess Daniels wonders about possible connections between the Occupy movement and Convergent Friends, London Occupy Quakers call for worship in the world, and a Philadelphia paper profiles George Lakey, Man of Action. Martin Kelley and "Elizabeth Bathurst" write about the upcoming world gatheringof Friends.
