Hi to all,

I have been considering the possibility of going to my first Ohio Yearly Meeting in Barnesville, Ohio which is coming up very soon (only 17 days away now as I type this). Having never been there before I have no idea where I would stay and if I would need to make some arrangements or reservations or just what? I don't want or need anything fancy. I am wondering what everyone typically does in this situation?

I have also been considering how I would get there. Living here in the midwest I'm not sure if I would be better off traveling by car or aircraft? It would be nice to know what everyone typically does on this account also. I would be more than happy to chip-in for a possible ride if anyone might happen to be coming by my location on their way to it by car.

Any pointers, comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 Thank you,

Scott Fike

Scott--

The one problem with making plans this late is that the yearly meeting has to make their arrangements with Olney Friends School (the yearly meeting is held there), which means they have little flexibility on meal plans in particular. They will probably be able to find thee a room, or thee can camp, but the cafeteria numbers have to be provided beforehand. There are always people who cancel and people who arrive without having made arrangements, but it makes things difficult. To register, you need to contact Sharon Helms: philandsharon04.01 at sbcglobal.net. I will echo Faye and say thee needs to contact her soon.

Okay, thank you. I sent Sharon an e-mail, so hopefully she can steer me in the right direction. Scott
