Paul Buckley will be speaking at the San Francisco Friends Meeting House on Sunday, November 20, at 1:00 during second hour, with a talk titled “ A visit with Elias Hicks.”
Paul Buckley is known among Friends for many articles on the history, faith, and practice of the Religious Society of Friends and for his books, The Quaker Bible Reader, Twenty-First Century Penn, Owning the Lord’s Prayer, The Journal of Elias Hicks and most recently, Dear Friend: Letters and Essays of Elias Hicks. Paul also gives short courses, workshops, and retreats for groups across the Quaker spectrum and occasionally teaches at the Earlham School of Religion.
Paul also will be participating in the Quaker Theological Discussion Group on Friday, November 18
I hope you will join us in listening to the QTDG discussions of Paul Buckley’s books and by attending his talk at the San Francisco Friends Meeting House. Everyone is welcome to come to Meeting for Worship at 11:00 am on Sunday.
