My husband let me sleep in a little this morning and I rose at 8:15 out of an amazing dream.

He handed me some coffee and I said "let me tell you the dream I had."

I saw a great wave that could only have been a Tsunami and it was coming from the west.  I heard It will affect  Hawaii and that it is under alert and that it could also affect the west coast of the United States.

I saw in the dream villages, that looked of dirt, or more primitive dried brick, some connected together.  I saw people huddled here and there and I heard the words.

There is just no way to get them, no way to help them.

A great rush of water came as though a huge dam had broken and just washed everything away.

After that I heard the word Bolivia.

My husband looked at me amazed and turned the computer he had on in the kitchen towards me.

And there was the news of the earthquake in Japan, the tsunami, the expectation that it will affect Hawaii, and possible affects on western us.

Wow.

The last word Bolivia I can only expect will be the next devastated place and I feel it may be an earthquake, time will tell.

:P.S.- Readers may want to notice the time stamp on this post it is 9:00 am Eastern Standard Time.

You see in the post that I wrote about Hawaii.

The Tsunami hit Hawaii at 11:30 local time.

4:30 Eastern Standard time.

Approx. I wrote about it here 8 hours before it actually happened and having no knowledge of the news.

Many people . . . that first receive information from God . . . about the future .. . about horrible events . . . become afraid of the information . . . and ask God to take away the gift.   How are you doing?
Comment by Debrah on 3rd mo. 11, 2011 at 8:05pm

Oh thank you for your understanding Rickey.

I was given the prophetic gift in 1991. I was in prayer and I read the verse where Paul says to desire to prophecy. So I looked up to God and said simply ,"Lord, I see it says in your word here that I should seek to prophesy, and so I do. Amen"  (sensational huh~lol) I had a visitation right then in which I had a great fear of the Lord (fear as in of His awesome presence and power not fear as in dread.) Then He told me some things only meant for me.

From then on I could both hear him speaking in my ear and would see pictures like a movies screen before my eyes (while I could still see everything else) of details.

This is how it usually goes, a true example,

I was in a church and while I was in my seat I saw a lady, exactly what she looked like, that her name was Elizabeth and that her sister was in the meeting today and that the family must have prayer from the whole congregation before any more of the service went on. That it was truly a matter of life and death. And also that they were to have no fear.

I then went and whispered it to the Pastor to submit it to his authority.  He said yes, to share it.

So I asked "Who here has a sister named Elizabeth?"  One lady and her husband stood up. (no one else had a sister named Elizabeth) It was this detail that confirmed to them immediately that God was speaking directly to them.  Then I heard the Lord say Cancer. So I asked, "Which one of you is it that has the Cancer?" The woman began to cry.  I then said that she was not to be in fear, that the Lord was stopping everything right then to take care of it. That as a group of believers we were to pray for her healing.  It was done and she was freed of it not to long after.

The prophetic gifting I have is usually to minister to people to relieve some burden or impart life in some way.  I am given specific details by which they are identified and perk up to listen then to what God has to say. But there are times when I get something on disasters, or something in the way of correction and warning .

There is one thing about the prophetic gifting, it is a double edged sword.  People love you when you are giving all the good news....but these same people will be the ones to wickedly persecute you and drive you out if you bring a message they do not want to hear. They do not see that even a correcting word from God is Him working on their behalf in Love.

Sometimes they just don't get that I'm a little messenger.  A little note in my bag that I am bound to my master (by love) to deliver.  It is my job.  I am not responsible for what is contained in the note, I did not write it!  But they will blame you personally anyway, so you have to be ready for that. Walking in peace, love, and quiet wisdom is key.

I have felt both the joy of acceptance of the people and the terrible pain of rejection from a group of people that did profess love for me.  But I had to do as Paul said to do.  I took off my shoes and clapped them together (literally). I forgave and went on. (this all was not easy, but I learned a lot through it).

I have had a few things on a global level. The Lord had a terrible weeping and mourning come over me one afternoon.  I just could not stop til I finally cried out Lord please tell me what this is. I heard "This is Rachael weeping for her children."  This went on for a few hours, it wasn't long till I  heard the news of Dessert Storm.

Another time the Lord said that I was to warn a church that if they did not "stop dividing my body, the church would be rubble in one year"  I lived only couple miles from this church and passed it often over the next few months.  Suddenly one day we were stopped at a light and I did not realize we were right there next to the church.....I looked over, but the church was not there.  It was literally stones and rubble.  Apparently because of the division and infighting, the church split and the building had to be sold. The people who bought it then razed the whole church complex to the ground and we watched over the next year as they built some apartment buildings.

So yes, there are some disturbing things but for my experience so far, and that is 20 years, most is so positive, so filled with joy and the mercy of God as he ministers to people.

I was just surprised that I had this one in dream form, because it is my husband who usually does that not me.

And also that I was seeing it come to pass immediately before my eyes over the internet as soon as I uttered the dream to my husband.

I am concerned now about the Bolivia part because everything else from the dream has happened.   The news just said that it is now on track for Chile'. I looked up the geography of Bolivia and it happens to be on a tectonic plate which is affected by what happens in the Pacific.

I also found out that the Bolivians do live in the primitive dirt brick houses, some connected, as I saw in my dream.  I am suspecting an earthquake in Bolivia.  We'll see.  Please pray for all that is going on, even though we always see through the glass, dimly. We get bits and pieces but it's enough to get us busy on our knees.

Peace friend

Most prophets do not understand the value of their gift from God . . .  because they don't know what to do with the information that is presented to them.  And I agree with the no win situation that most of the world shouts at a prophet.

I believe  . . .  You have great potential . . . and I wish to urge you . . . ask God for more information . . . on the word "Bolivia" . . . your dream about the tsunami . . . is proof that God is trusting you and showing you bits about the future.   Are you ready . . . willing . . . to work with God?

Rickey,

I have had similar prayers asking that the Lord would take away such visions as Debrah ahs received.

I think that we can have such hope and confidence that we are enfolded in divine care, whatever befalls.

Will pray for thee, Debrah.  But more, we must pray now for the victims of  this terrible disaster.

Forgive mis-spelling of "has' in above comment please!

Dear Margaret,

Having the prophetic gift does not create fear in me. In fact it is just the opposite.  It proves that God is with us, that He is speaking to us today and that as He says in His word "He will never leave you or forsake you."  I believe that when bad things are shown to me which I can do nothing about personally (like this Tsunami) it is a call to prayer, as you have said for all those concerned.

Also to be reminded that life is but a vapor that we must have our lamps trimmed like the seven virgins, and be prepared for the Lord.  Weather it is our own earthly death, or it is the Lord's return in 'end time speaking.'

I would never pray for this gift to be removed, in fact the bible says that the gifts of God are irrevocable.

For 20 years I have seen people physically healed,  deep emotional wounds heal in their hearts, relationships repaired etc., and most importantly people turn to Christ as savior and begin to live a life for God.

There is no going back for me, only onward and upward...praise His name!

Peace to you

Margaret

Tell me more about your visions?

Comment by Margaret Bienert on 3rd mo. 12, 2011 at 6:23am

Rickey

I wouldn't so much call them 'visions' as seemingly prophetic

( with a small 'p'!)  dreams or glimpses, sometimes intuitions.  I will message you a little more.  I'm not sure they are as out-of-the-ordinary as either you or Debrah seem to have experienced, but often seem related to some of my life choices.

I struggle to know how to deal with this insight.  Perhaps one of the reasons I have been drawn to the Friends, is that there is space for 'hearing' and 'seeing' on a different level than we are taught in most religious settings.

Margaret

Most people do struggle with information from God.  The problem is . . . we were not taught how to relate with God.   When most people get information from God  . . . they turn their focus on the information . . . instead of God.   And we  are  like the spoiled grandchild that grabs the toy from grandma's hands and runs off to play  . . . with out even looking a grandma.

I've observed most Quakers do the same thing . . . they focus on a thought and not the creator.

Rickey,

This is so true.  Learning how to relate to God is primary.  We get off-centre so easily and focus on the gifts - spiritual or material, whether we are lacking them or proud of our seeming possession of those things.

In the vein of Debrah's first posting though, and returing to the tsunami.... I was surprised to hear a Save the Children staff worker in Japan being interviewed by BBC News and talking about setting up "Child Friendly Zones" as a way of caring and protecting the children from the psychological traumas etc.  I had never heard of this concept before, though others of you may have.  One or two nights before the disaster struck I had an unusual dream of children in a large tent in a 'kindergarten' or summer-camp type of setting.  They were playing very peacefully and quietly-- even meditatively.

There was an unusual silence, broken occasionally by crying."  When I woke I was puzzled as to why I should dream this.  Could not make any connections at that time.
