Time for Gratitude

When someone asks you the time do you glance at your wrist or reach for your pocket? For all of my adult life I have worn a watch. Mostly it has been the same watch, a 1982 Accutron Quartz. In the 1960’s Bulova began making Accutron watches. They contained a small tuning fork that created a fixed frequency that regulated the time. They were the most accurate watches on the planet… and in space, the astronauts wore them to the moon. Then came the quartz movement revolution,…

The Ancient Simplicity, as it was once Witnessed unto by Geroge Fox.

Research Notes, George Fox, John Perrot, Ancient Simplicity

The Ancient Simplicity, as it was once Witnessed unto By George Fox.

While researching texts published on Early English Books Online, I came across this small piece of text wherein a person shares a letter written by George Fox which is used to suggest that George Fox, in his response to, and attacks against, John Perrot had come out of the Ancient Simplicity of minding the…

Thankful for the Spirit’s leading out of political and relgious forms.

Thankful for the Spirit’s leading out of political and religious forms.

My heart is full of thankfulness for the appearance of the inshining Spirit upon my consciousness and conscience. Through this inward manifestation, it is discovered to me that I am come out of a conscience being guided and informed by outward political and religious ideologies, contrivances, and institutions. Through the hand and image of immanent Presence, it is discovered to me that I am come…

Idealism vs. Love

Idealism is not the same as love.  Idealism flows from our minds while love flows from our hearts.  I can ramble on about my perception of the difference between the two and many would disagree or simply fall asleep from boredom.  Such a discourse would do nothing but put good people on the defensive in protecting the role of Idealism in our lives which is not my goal.  My goal is to help those who have seen or are in the process of seeing the energy of youthful idealism seemingly soaked up…

George Fox and Liberty of Conscience

Research Notes, George Fox, Conscience

Many of the most eminent have had potent Impulses, to give forth solid, and sound Arguments for Liberty of Conscience, and have pleaded strongly for the same, yet George Fox was heard to say in a selected great Assembly thus, “Though many Friends have writ for Liberty of Conscience, I never lik’d the word, it is not a good word. No Liberty to the Presbyterians, no Liberty to the Papists, no Liberty to the…

30 Seconds with the Mayor

Project Definition

Our city needs ways of managing storm water that come from the residential areas. The Rain Garden project is a key milestone to an eco-city. The rain gardens are made up of native flowers and shrubs, which temporary hold and soak rain water from roofs, driveways, street, and lawns, while removing off chemicals and nutrients before releasing it into drainage. The gardens are designed to slow down the speed of storm water allowing more time for…

Those Early Quakers who Scrupled against The Government of Quakers Exercised by George Fox

Jerusalem: World Capital

As one respectful and grateful to science, and yet a believer in continuing revelation, to me it's clear what a Chosen People we are, as hominid inhabitants of this "Global U" or "universe city" called Earth.  Likewise I see our Promised Land is a spherical body, with a relatively large moon, situated amongst other such spherical bodies, none so much an Eden nor genesis zone.

The theatrics of nation-states, on the other hand, seem increasingly phony to me, nothing serious enough on…
