More on Liberal Quakers

A phenomenon of the late 19th century, liberal Friends currently form about 20 percent of the global Quaker population. Meetings for worship among liberal Friends are unprogrammed and monthly meetings are generally permissive in terms of belief, tending to be liberal in their politics. Amy, there is a North End Worship Group under the care of University Friends (UFM). I don't have any details on when or where they meet. You could try contacting UFM. You can Google them to find their website.

Thanks Amy. I've been reading about the Society of Friends for months and just started attending Meeting. I'm looking forward to learning more and getting active in the community.

I live in Seattle.

There are 4 liberal meetings in the area. My meeting - Salmon Bay - located in the Phinney neighborhood. University Friends Meeting, South End Meeting and Eastside Meeting. You'd be welcome at any of them.

I can give you more contact information if you like.

Hi. I'm new to the Friends and liberal Quakers. I'm a lesbian, a libertarian, and also an Episcopalian. I live in Seattle. Do I have any neighbors among the liberal friends? Blessings. FRIENDSAM

Hello everyone. I've just joined QuakerQuaker. I've been an attender for years (FGC) and have recently begun the change to member. I'm really feeling the Friends lately.
