Thank you, April! I checked wikipedia, too, and had a good laugh at finding out that the brothers who wrote it call it, I quote, "a stupid fox song" and "comedy", while it has also been called "a parody of the excesses and absurdities of contemporary club music" by people who didn't write it. :-)
According to my musical daughter, the original song was written as a joke by brothers who have a talk show in Norway.
I love some of the quotations in the parody...and then went and listened to the original, which really gave me pause and made me question the state of a) popular music, b) Norway and c) mankind. This song...what is it supposed to mean? What???
