Thank you, Laura. Your comment brings home the feeling I was having watching the video...just wondering if this is the sort of thing that someone there in the airport who needed it would and could hear. I don't generally go for the Christo-centric public stuff (in a world where those who are most public about it so often are also arrogant and ignorantly against the poor, the gay people, the African-Americans, and the French, and into other arbitrary non-Christ-like things)...
Sometimes, though, the power, skill, and passion of the human voice can elevate one's spirit to recognize that the real point is "God is here, now."
I hope that some there in that airport could feel that of God pulsing through them as they heard this, and make a friend of Daniel, and perhaps of God too. Thank you for sharing your experience. and Thank you, God.
Didn't my Lord deliver me? I am uplifted by this rendition by students from Friends University and remembering being a young mother, attending a Friends Church in a rural tn. What have I been delivered from? A violent marriage, grinding poverty, a house burned to the ground by an arsonist, periods if illness and broken faith. How many times as a single mother did I pray, "Father to the fatherless, defender of widows, help me". And wasn't my right arm strengthened by the Hand of the Almighty. Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel? Yes He did. Let my testimony strengthen whoever needs to hear it.
