I appreciate it William.   Since the majority of Friends live in Africa,  I think it is important to wake up and think of them now and again.  I am not a member of FUM either, but I don't have to be a member of something to support it.   .   .

A comprehensive news page for FUM work in East Africa: http://fum.org/global-ministries/east-africa/

I am going to stop listing links here; I don't want to overdo it.  I am a Conservative Friend, not even a member of FUM!

For the record, it should be noted that the Evangelical Friends do lots of work in Africa also.

More on the Turkana work: http://fum.org/turkana-update-august-2014

It is not my intention to distract in any way from the work among the people described in the video.  Someone knowledgeable about these efforts needs to tell more about this work and how to support it.

Thanks William, I am glad you liked it.  I was feeling a little discouraged and the sweet singing of the children lifted my spirits.  Thank you for the link too.

Very inspiring!  I give to the Friends United Meeting for African Friends' work among the Turkana people of northwestern Kenya.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkana_people
