Hi Ray... no, I'm not a Quaker myself - yet! I've recently begun attending Swanage Local Meeting, though, and feel strongly led to let this journey take me where it will. I've begun the online 'Becoming Friends' course run by Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre. Thanks for adding me as a friend... and give my best wishes to Hay-on-Wye, where I lived for a few years in the later 70s/early 80s!
Thank you , that is very insightful . So may I then ask what is a conservatives belief in God- ie : who he is , what he is and what he means to you ? I have been attending meetings all over the world , i started in the uk and I presume it was a liberal setting . If one wanted to affilate and join the Quakers is there some type of aplication or process ? And please if anyone konws of a Quaker Meeting house is the Tel Aviv , Israel area please let me know - I still cant find one !
Thank you Ray . Perhaps you can give me some insight as to lif as a conservative friend and some advise on bcomming one myself. I am still unsure of the vast diffrences in what it means to be a liberal or a conservative quaker . perhaps you can share som elight on the subject for me . many thanks . tamara
Thanks Ray, for inviting me on here....I always read your posts on FB and find something to ponder. Missed you when you disappeared recently....
Yes I am a Quaker Vegetarian. A non violent diet is what I call it. If we espouse peace, then that means for all beings. Raising and killing animals to eat is completely immoral and unacceptable.
Thank you so much Ray for your invite! You are my first Friend who is a Friend! My daughter Grace and I have always wanted to visit your country. If my grown sons would come with, we would love to move their. I look forward to getting to know you and your home better! Blessings and peace, Tina
Thank you for adding me as a Friend! I appreciate that. I use UK spellings and I have lived all my life in central Virginia! (Some Scots Brogue, German, PA German, and Middle English like the poet Geoffrey Chaucer: I know a bit of them, but entirely.)
I like your page. It speaks of rustic things and simplicity. Autumn is a favourite time of year for the colours contain so much splendour. . . which speaks multitudes to me of the Almighty God and Father!
Did you know that QuakerQuaker is 100% reader supported? Our costs run to about $50/month. If you think this kind of outreach and conversation is important, please support it with a monthly subscription or one-time gift.
