Last summer I came across another international film festival with an almost identical name as ours. It is called, " Bridge Film Fest" and was founded in 2014. Their festival has a similar notion of trying to "bridge" communities together. A main difference between the festivals is that our BFF is derived and guided by the Quaker testimonies and the traditions of a network of Friends schools with shared values. Based in Mitrovica, Kosovo, their festival's mission attempts to heal some wounds from the recent war in the region more information.
I am trying to initiate a dialogue with the organizers of Bridge Film Fest. I would like to work together to find a way to differentiate the names of the festivals enough to avoid social media and marketing confusion. More importantly, I want to see if there are ways that our Bridge Film Festival can support theirs.
Non-governmental organizations from Mitrovica C-ART, for the first time in Mitrovica, takes initiative to organize an International Film Festival "Bridge Film Fest". Organizational staff is comprised of women of different ethnicities living in Kosovo.
"Bridge FILM FEST" aims to bring the value of film in the city of Mitrovica and elsewhere, trying to simultaneously promote tolerance between ethnic communities and the bridge, which now separates the city....
