The Jewels of Quakerism Project is a four-fold endeavor undertaken by Callid and Kristina Keefe-Perry.
First. the Jewels of Quakerism is the name of a course taught for six weeks during the Summer of 2009 at the Pendle Hill Quaker Retreat Center in Wallingford, PA. That class will focus on another "Jewel" each week, showcasing the Keefe-Perry's understanding of what makes Quakerism particular and powerful. The Pendle Hill description of their class can be found
here.
Second, the Project will publish an online survey once a week that will invite input from the wider Quaker world. Each week the responses to that survey will be included in the course taught on Thursdays, and made available at Callid's blog at quakerquaker.org. To sign up for updates when new surveys are available, click
here. Surveys will remain fill-out-able indefinately and can be found online below, along with responses, formatted so as to be more easily readable.
Third, after the Thursday course is taught each week, Callid and Kristina will create a web video that addresses much of the content covered in that week's class. These videos are intended to serve as information resources to the broader world interested in Quakerism and also as a bridging medium for folks who want to have access to the content of the course at Pendle Hill. Videos will be uploaded and archived to Blip.tv and can be found by clicking
here, or by clicking on the links below.
All videos can be downloaded, burned to DVD, and reused free of charge as long as they are not used for commercial purposes. [Click
here to see where the download button is on the video pages.]
Lastly, at quakerquaker.org, the Keefe-Perrys will maintain a blog for the duration of the course, making all videos and surveys available as well as providing a means for comments and forum posts.

We will keep all the surveys open indefinetely, so that folks can continue to use the queries and share their experiences with the web. We'll periodically update the response files too, so filling them out even is still communicatively relevant. Videos will be linked here when there are made, usually by the end of the weekend after which the class was taught.
