Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Hindsight: If it please the Court of Quaker Opinion, we draw from the past in order to guard for the future. After all, hindsight is 20-20 vision.
Hicksite: Truth be told, the picture of the future is only bright if we can somehow distance ourselves from the British-reserve of the past. It is all too clear that demure-conservation is too little too late.
Hindsight: Disownment is still the proper discipline for those who can not honor the past as a guard for the future.
Hicksite: Disownment, as the right to decide how something/one should proceed, is what has gotten our world/resources into the dire condition that invites conservation.
Hindsight: Our Book of Discipline has the endorsement of the Arch-angel of Penn's Quakerism.
Hicksite: Admittedly, you are not of the Race of Brotherly Love, but have, along with your past, fallen behind your benchmarks . As such, we throw your own book at you.
