It's interesting, because here in Morocco, we have exactly the opposite problem as in the U.S., where Muslims are misunderstood. No one knows anything about Christianity, and Christians are treated really badly, especially because most of them are Sub-Saharan migrants. Religion is state-controlled, and Moroccans are strongly encouraged not to learn anything about Christianity, and can be hassled or arrested if they visit a church.

In the end, I become an ambassador for Christianity - or, more precisely, Catholicism, as that is what they've experienced with the French influence. It's extremely hard to explain to them a religion where the Bible is not necessarily literal, but open to interpretation, as to them, the Koran is perfect.

Mostly, they just think I'm crazy, and tell me they hope I'll become Muslim. But, at least they see I'm a nice person.
