Laurence Sigmond, a Germantown Meeting Friend (and QuakerQuaker member) died in his sleep Wednesday morning. From the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Young Friends page:

Many of you know Carl Sigmond from Young Friends. I have learned that Carl Sigmond's father, Laurence Sigmond, died in his sleep at about 5:00 A.M. this morning, Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Laurence was a former Peace and Concerns Coordinator for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. We mourn with his family.

In addition to his busy work with Friends, Laurence was an amazing photographer. I truly was shocked when I first saw his photos from Quaker events. He was also a really decent human being. My thoughts are with the family. If I can find an obituary in tomorrow's papers, I'll add a link.
