Just to clafiry...
I am Martin's wife and not a Quaker. At least not anymore. I was raised in the Holy Catholic Church and left it while in high school, was among liberal Quakers for eleven years, and returned to the Church while pregnant with our first son. I doubt that I will participate in any or in many discussions here, but it is interesting to read once in a while. Frankly, it continues to amaze me that the same ridiculousness seems to keep re-emerging, with reference to "non-theist" and other non-Christian "Friends." It makes no sense to me whatsoever and shows complete lack of historical or theological Quaker background or, for that matter, regard. As a friend (and former Friend) of mine used to say, "Quakerism without Christianity is like a train without tracks. It's nice to look at, but it won't take you anywhere." So true. In any case, it is my prayer that all come to know Christ in his Church, not because I am attempting to be obnoxious, but because it is only in Him that we can truly rest and know the Truth.

I got my finger on the "Delete User" button, lady. You're trouble with a capital T, I can tell that right now! :)
