About Me
Sydney Anglican-Catholic with Quaker sympathies now living in Port Stephens, New South Wales.

My roots are in a Quaker-Protestant ethos but family moved over to Catholic tastes of the 'Romans'.If that means anything at all.
Suppose I'm trying/struggling to lead a free drawn path toward the order of the Divine...Prayers mean a lot to me, friendship, affections and fellowship in Jesus too a bit.
My bent leads to an interested in beauty generally, but Christendom and beyond the Pale more so; especially in its depiction of Nature-Pure.
It's fair to say that "my friends find me annoying. My enemies are hospitable. And the rest don't know or care to know".
I come from an Individualist perspective on Anglo-Saxon Protestantism if approaching Anglo-Catholic ideas of tradition.
I live and love the North Country of New South Wales: that is, the North Coast and the New England Uplands of New South Wales. Its traditionalist country-town values of faith, flag, family or loyalty to freedom are attractive to me.
God Bless.
My life:
I'm a Private Artist. Enjoy writings about Nature and North Poetry. I fully believe that Individual, Direct and Peaceful advocacy in any sphere yields actual results.

A Testimony of Affirmation of Christianity (via Joey Stalnaker's profile - thanks.)

A Testimony of Affirmation of Christianity

I believe in One True and Living Supreme Being as Creator God of all things.
I believe this God exists as Three Individuals united into one Being and functioning as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
I believe that the Heavens and Earth were Created by this Three-In-One God
I believe that sin came into the world through the influence of a fallen angel, and that mankind chose to fall away from perfection by committing disobedience towards God’s commandments
I believe that God required a penalty for sin committed against Him, and that He chose Jesus Christ to experience death and resurrection sacrificially atoning for all mankind
I believe that God, through His Son Jesus, enlightens every person on the Earth towards that opportunity to do good, gifting all people with freedom of choice
I believe that God’s Word has been given to mankind over the centuries through hearing audibly, seeing it written, and perceiving it spiritually in our mind and heart.
I believe that the Bible, as a collection of inspired words written through human hands, records some of God’s Word to all mankind and should be valued as specially preserved truth literally relevant for our lives and a proven example by which we may test all other words
I believe that God chose the descendents of Abraham and his son Israel, to be an example of His working in the lives of mankind
I believe God allowed His Son Jesus, to be born of the virgin Mary, raised to live a holy and blameless life, teaching, ministering, and blessing the lives of people on Earth
I believe that Jesus Christ is The Light of the World and that all people of every nation and generation may look to Him for the Light of Life
I believe that Jesus gathered followers amongst people on Earth, teaching them and bidding them to live by all the Words of God
I believe these followers of Jesus teachings came to be called Christians, and that the assembled meetings of these people came to be called churches
I believe that there is an age of accountability that mankind develops into during  life, at which point we are confronted with the opportunity to  chose the Light of Christ which enlightens us to do good
If in choosing to embrace that Light, we are convinced of His Truth, mankind may then experience a spirit immersed in The Holy Ghost and true communion with God
I believe Christians should continue to follow the teachings of Jesus by heeding God’s Word (in every way it is revealed) and by assembling together as the church to admonish and encourage one another towards following the Light
I believe in the blessed hope of Jesus’ promise to return for His followers in the Last Day of the Time of Earth, granting them eternal life together with God

" Eternity. When you drop your own concerns. And embrace God.
You are free ".

Hello John George!

Thank you for accepting my invitation. I am happy to have you for a friend!

Timothy has been very patient and helpful in showing me about this site and getting me started!

My interests include fiction reading and writing poetry and fiction.

Do you like to read fiction? I also love cats and enjoy playing hymns and classical music on the piano.

I anticipate hearing from you as time permits.

Blessings to thee!

Hilda

Thank thee, Friend John, for accepting my invitation for becoming our Friend. . . Even across the miles, from thy dwelling place in Australia to ours in central Virginia.

Thy photos are wunderbaar gut (wonderful good)! I appreciate thy quote from Nock's maxim too. We look forward to being the type of Friend that will speak things of encouragement, edification, and comfort. . . uplifting things.

Thank thee!  Peace and grace from our HERR Gott himmel Vater (LORD God heavenly Father) be thine.

Timothy

You made me smile.
Living in a forest is not the fairy tale I would have imagined, it can be damp, and I seem to be allergic to many of the plants that grow here so spring is 'hard to breathe' time for me. Animals nibble the garden or gobble it depending on the size of the animal, and our road is unpaved, half a mile long and steep (about a 45 degree angle). I was snowed in here for weeks at a time this past winter.
On the bright side, it is peaceful much of the time. There are always birds singing, even at night. Rightnow the deer are raising their sweet babies. In the evening we can sit on the porch and listen to the coyotes howling up on the ridge to the west of us. A family of vultures live on the ridge, too, and like to feast on road kill. We often see wild turkeys (67 at once last fall), pheasants, and occasionally apretty red fox. Because there are no street lights here at night we can see every star in the sky.
The forest is a blend of wonderful and frustrating, amazing and inconvenient.

Thank thee for the kind welcome, George. I thoroughly enjoy this site. I've learned so much, and found the courage to 'come out' as a Quaker with Plain leanings.

Magdalena,

You speak the truth easily. And I would enjoy discussing this with more vigor. Alas, I must fulfill other prior obligations first. But don't worry - check your inbox! I've tried to answer you truthfully, see if I fall short? You help me a great deal in that regard.

Many thanks Friend.

Here's a flag, done whilst inebriated, that sums up my identity, or not. Maybe not...but there's enough in it to add here:
