Thank you for your helpful and encouraging comments. Lots to learn and to read, especially about the early Quakers. We have a lovely group of people at our Liberal meeting, and I've found some Christian Quakers amongst them. All good.
Hi David, thanks for your comment. I think the problem is more within myself and finding my way, not with my Liberal Quaker friends who have made me very welcome and have encouraged me on the way. It's hard to explain, but from reading, it seems that many people who are drawn to Quakerism, seem to go through this time of spiritual upheaval before settling to a transformed faith. I just need to understand how to continue to work out my Christian faith within a new and fresh context. This is a good thing, times of challenge are times of growth. Best wishes, Alison
