I have been interested in joining Society of Friends for a long time and went to a meeting in Seattle once. I consider myself universalist and am interested in the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, and Muhammed as well as other spiritual leaders such as Gandhi and Dalai Lama. I am working on simplicity and "love one another" in my daily life as part of my spiritual path.
Dear Carissa. I'm especially interested in liberal Quakerism but my interests include various beliefs and customs, including Buddhist thought and Unitarian-Universalist. My family's tradition is ELCA Lutheran (the most liberal of the 3 major US synods.) But I've always enjoyed a broader outlook. I would like to meets others who share some of my interests.
Did you know that QuakerQuaker is 100% reader supported? Our costs run to about $50/month. If you think this kind of outreach and conversation is important, please support it with a monthly subscription or one-time gift.
