About Me: I am 61 years old, born and raised in and around Philly and now a resident of West Philly for nearly 40 years. Though raised a Quaker, I dropped my membership in my early twenties, only to renew it when my first child came along. However, it was not until a major crisis in my marriage occurred that I found I NEEDED my faith community in a way that I actually became a member of it. It was also at about that same time (early forties) that I had a spiritual awakening. I have never felt like a Christian, yet I am continually drawn toward the message and life of Jesus of Nazareth, of Yeheshua, and long to be one of the 'cloud of witnesses'. At the same time, my own experience of the divine is and has been primarily in the natural world and I have received a revelation that can be described as 'the universe, itself, and what we now understand about its formation and functioning, is G!d's revelation for the 21st century. I am part of a group that is building/allowing the emergence of, a new Quaker Meeting in West Philadelphia.
