The plaque on the wall above the table appears to be the same plaque that was in the vestibule before the meetinghouse interior was rearranged. It gives me much satisfaction to realize that it was not discarded when the building changed hands!
I wish the words (in the picture) were legible. I see it as a tribute to the old Friends who struggled for many years to keep their meeting alive. By the way, I wrote a brief essay on the South Starksboro Meeting; it was published in the *Friends Journal* in (I think) the late 60s. Peter Stettenheim did the photography for the article.
