I think I found my cover of choice. Snoods! Many snood styles are a bit busy for me, but this was made by Katie's Mercantile by request. This was the trial snood and now I have a few in different styles and fabrics. Brilliant!

A few days ago I ordered more caps, some black ones and one in a dark print. White caps definitely don't work for me. White anything doesn't work for me. I'm messy.
I had thought of making my own caps, in a print or textured fabric to coordinate with my dresses, but thanks to the summer job had not found time to sew any. (there is half a dress on my sewing table that I started 6 weeks ago...) I was pleased to find a print one online and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
I find when I have my hair up under a cap I am not constantly tossing my head to get my hair out of my way. The cap may save me from getting self-inflicted whiplash.
