Hey Tina! Glad you like it :) I bought the vest, so unfortunately I can't comment on the pattern, but it looks fairly simple. There are 3 very small pleats on top of the shoulder and it is fully lined. The King's Daughter's patterns tend to be quite roomy. Yes I often go for black, as it goes with every colour, and shows less dirt...my shoes and coat are black as well :)
You sure have been busy, Zaley!! You have done a wonderful job on everything! How did you find the vest pattern to be? That and a pull over one that I saw are on my wish list. It's nice to see the vest with the dress, I really like the look. It's not too Amish or Mennonite, which is why I was drawn to trying it as well. I like the black. I don't know about you, but I always have on black shoes. We seem to think very much alike in how we want to dress plain. Now I just have to finish losing the weight from my treatment and I can dive into the sewing world too!lol. Again, wonderful job Zaley and I love the color and pattern of your dress as well!!
