Rosinton AL - Where Cooper's settled land on path starting in Buckingham PA, then Makefield PA, then Padgets Creek SC, then GA, arriving to AL in 1830's. Members of Monthly Meetings in all states but unable to determine when disownments enacted break of all sequential lineage. Most likely John Jurdan Cooper was the last Quaker. Thomas Michael Cooper was a Freemason as were many people in last three states/territories.

There are three Cooper lines from England into Pennsylvania and West Jarsey. I am from Buckingham Coopers. There is a Philadelphia line who married a sister of my gg...great grand father. The West Jarsey (other side of the Delaware River), I know of no relation.

There are some Coopers who moved to Ohio from South Carolina (Bush River Quakers) when the exodus due slavery occurred. This was late 1700's and early 1800's. I do have a book from Wilmer A Cooper (A Living Faith), a Conservative Friend but am not sure if any relations are in place.  I would like to see Growing up Plain. I will look for your essay and read it. I take it it is in this website.

Cooper is a family name among Conservative Friends in eastern Ohio.  These Coopers came to Ohio from SE Pennsylvania.  See my essay on "Cyrus Cooper and the Free Gospel Ministry" in Quaker History. Spring, 2000.  Also, see Wilmer Cooper, Growing Up Plainhttp://www.amazon.com/Growing-Plain-Conservative-Wilburite-Quakers/...
