Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
My neighbor took this picture for me. The apron and cap are from Katie's Mercantile.

I'm glad to hear you like her slip dresses! I have been debating that for awhile. I just got her simple dress and her canning apron in white yesterday. I LOVE the dress! I do wish the fabric for the apron was heavier, I find this one to be too sheer and light weight. You should post some more pictures of yourself!! I think I'm going to order the headcovering you have on in the picture.
LOL! She needed a picture of the apron and cap (on someone with lots of hair). I love the apron and actually have 2. I wear the snood now -the cap pulled at my very curly hair.

I love her jumpers, slip dresses, and her cape dress.

Hey!! Your famous!! I see your pretty face every time I order from Katie's Mercantile! Do you like that apron and head covering? I haven't tried either. I have their Favorite Apron and love it!
For me it was my hair texture. I'm Black so my hair is very curly. So essentially they were acting like little grappling hooks on the fabric and getting torn out. I should have anticipated this since I come from a scarf wearing kind of culture, but I didn't think of it. My snoods, on the other hand, have less tension around the band, and are synthetic. And they still hold their place because I have curly hair.
That is interesting. I like it because it does not cover my ears and my hair itself almost holds it in place with just one clip on each side of my head. Funny you should mention the hair thing though. When my husbands sisters showed me how they put up their hair (they are still in the Mennonite Community) where the hair pin at the top of their bun has gone in for so many years there is a bald spot there! Very small, but surprised me...Their hair really goes up the same way every time!
Haha maybe great minds do think alike, Keely. Unfortunately I had to stop wearing it because it was pulling out my hair at the hairline. I now wear synthetic snoods and tichels.
Hey! I think we have the same covering!
Beautiful.
