I like this picture of you, Paula.  And if you don't wear the cap you still look very pretty and

serene.

Patrice that was an earlier experiment. I don't wear the cap anymore -it was pulling out my hair at the hair line. I wear a snood now http://katiesmercantile.com/bonnets_snood.html  You might be able to see it in this picture of me and my new dog from October http://www.flickr.com/photos/52967336@N00/9844267115/sizes/m/in/pho...

I am not offended at all, Friend Timothy.  My neighbor's garden was at its peak for that phot0 -I was lucky.

Sometimes, I suppose, people just assume: "That must be hand sewn garments. See the way they dress?" If I offended thee, pray, forgive me. I have just returned to this site from being away from insomnia nearly three months, despondency, and most recently the pain of oral surgery (three wisdom teeth extracted). I just hope these posts sounds coherently. It is good to know that others purchase or have others to make things also. That makes us feel a bit more encouraged! My wife's cap and bonnet comes from: http://www.rachelsseamstressservices.com/ and her Garden Coat from: http://www.gracefulthreads.com/. She has ordered long white veilings from both: http://www.prayercoverings.com  and http://www.christiancoverings.com so hope these may be of some help to thee! Again, great picture. I like the drawings of little people on the walkway!! :):)

Actually the dress is from Shukronline.com -a store that caters to Western observant Muslims. I got the link from Quaker Jane's blog. It's a great source for modest clothing that is contemporary http://www.shukr.co.uk/Default.aspx  Most of my clothing comes from Katie's Mercantile here in the US, but there is a shukr UK store.

I am always glad to see snoods, aprons, and modest dress! I wish I was the tailour here, and I would make up dresses, caps, bonnets, aprons, and things. Unfortunately, none of us can sew that well yet, which means we must order, and my wife's sister makes up Mennonite type of cape dresses (which I had made one for my wife and one for my daughter in 2003), so that is what they wear. Mostly petite prints, though I like solids too. Truly, this is a lovely picture, for sure and certain! Fantastic choice of colours!!! :):)

Wow, and your apron matches the beautiful flowers. .  so you are a gift to the flowers, as the flowers are a gift to you.

Truly a beautiful picture to behold.
