My hair is calmer too, haha. It stayed quiet and out of trouble all day beneath my cap with just three of those good strong hairpins.

"Calmer. More focused." Haha I had the same feeling! I posted that I had this feeling of calm and order come over me, a real sense of purpose. Isabel said that a woman related a similar feeling when she spent some time with the Amish; Kapp on -peace, Kapp off- no peace.

Physically, putting it on felt strange, I've never been much of a hat wearer at all. But once I figured out how to get it on and clipped so it would stay put I mostly forgot I had it on. It isn't at all uncomfortable (I thought it might be). Whenever I'd pass a mirror it would seem odd not to have a lot of hair all over the place, but I find I like that. My hair is definitely for my boyfriend, I personally get annoyed with it on a daily basis, it is just In My Way. I really like having it tucked away neatly.
Emotionally wearing the cap I feel more womanly in some way. I am not sure what I even mean by this....I feel like a different version of myself. Calmer. More focused.
Sort of like when I'm plainer on the outside I'm prettier on the inside.

I see you and your cap. It looks like a very neat hair scarf, quite unobtrusive. How did it feel for you?

My first day wearing the cap, at home, just for practice. My honeylamb came home for lunch unexpectedly, and here I was in my quaint little cap. He didn't say anything, even though he was close enough to kiss. It matches my hair fairly well, but the man is not blind. If he thinks it's awful he's not saying so. We shall see.
