The bear is nearly 3 months younger than me. My mother made its PJs and my sisters always tried to give it away. Now it is probably my oldest possession in the world except for my ID card and ration card ( which my sister holds) - which UK readers will understand. Some can see the man in the child but how many can see the child in the man?

I look at the boy and still am the same on the inside, with experience; the boy is in a post-war world, though the Korean War etc., were going on. The bear's jamas come years later but it is still with me - does that make me attached? I have a secret with the bear that one day some one will find. It is written on a small piece of paper when I was about 10/11 years old from a v small bible. I believe I wrote it after a visit to our side/Lady Chapel not long before I gave up the high Anglican Church before comformation.
