Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Dear Friends,
I am gladdened to see this Virtual Friends School conversation picking up once again. I thought it may be appropriate to open up a discussion where we can share with one another any 'Friendly' learning opportunities or lessons available. Please join in and add any of your opportunities or contacts.
Let us help one another.
In Friendship and Peace,

I would like to start off by sharing that one of my daughters needed a new harp teacher and we could not find one locally. We turned to research on the internet and found a teacher named Christine Magnussen and cannot be more pleased. She is now opening up her lessons to the home school community, via Skype, after being inspired by the need among us and teaches on fairly inexpensive, yet durable and beautiful harpsicles.
I will tell you that her approach is one that reminds me much of the writings of Parker J. Palmer and what Tom said about schooling not just being about books and curriculum, but the relationship between the student and teacher. She honors the child, their interests, truth and abilities and has been quoted to say "Let us create a universe of peace" about her 'On the Wings of a Dove, Harp Music to Soothe the Soul' CD. She also has a Harper's Diary, which I find very fitting for our home education to encourage individual creative expression and reflection.
Music and instrumental lessons can be hard for families to find the time to fit in teaching themselves or to be constantly driving our children to. I find this a fruitful option. Christine's website can be found at :

I hope this is helpful to some of you.

Is there an online Quaker education page that can give some insights or training on early years education ?
