Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Good afternoon.
I wanted to share with you this craft I just discovered...toothbrush rugs. So named because the tool used to make them is an old toothbrush with the brush cut off, the end filed to a point and a hole put in the other end. It's an old type of rug making that become popular during the depression as a way to recycle fabric into something useful and beautiful.
You can google the name for more information, videos, photos, etc.
Attached is a photo of my first rug in progress. It's currently 11x18. I had the fabric in my stash and it was easy to learn. I did purchase a DVD that helped me learn to make them. Aunt Philly's is the name and I purchased it on ebay. I found a visual was a much better way for me to learn and it saved a lot of trial and error.
