Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Based on Shepherd's Hill Homestead's tutorial, I've sewn my first covering (as opposed to the triangular kerchiefs / tichels I've bought before, this one's a cap).
I should've pinched in the nape of the neck a bit more but when I tried that with pins I had trouble getting it on, so I let it out. It was really the pins getting in the way, so now I know for next time.

I modified the brim to be a curve that's 1/2" wide at the ends and 3" wide at the center.
Mackenzie - Looks very nice! You can still pinch in the back by making matching pleats, or tucks in the brim back there. I have done that after the fact and it looked fine, though I had to make them go all the way the width of the brim and make them look like part of the design.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll do. Just wish I'd figured this out before binding the edge!
Yeah, well. Can you just carefully take out that section of binding and re-sew it? Seems I am always making after the fact adjustments in my sewing! Can't think of when I haven't had to do that!
Barb
that is lovely!
