About the Blog Carnival

A blog Carnival is a opportunity for bloggers to write about a shared topic for a month. This month we're turning to a style of organizing that is emerging among some Friends.

There's been a newish DIY leadership ethos developing--much more cross-branch, collaborative. More willingness to talk about issues where there's not unity. There's been some loosening of the "silos" of Quaker bodies. Many of the established organizations don't know quite what do this with us and there's a danger this might fuel an unhelpful spirit of anti-institutionalism. A lot of this ties into the generational leadership changes we've been seeing, but we're less interested in resume changes than the changes in organizing.
