Historically Friends worried that music and the arts could serve as spiritual distractions but today many are involved in the arts. Share you work, along with your views of the role of the arts in contemporary Quaker culture. Tag: arts.

why are those who create art such as drawings considered bad or no longer chrristians by the bible ? can any one help me answer this?
Good morning from Western Australia.
The notion of poetry being 'a form of Quaker plain speaking' speaks strongly to me. Re the recent review here of BBC radio doco 'Listen to them breathing' - I just missed the online deadline to listen again - if anyone saved/recorded it and could share it I'd be grateful.
Along the same lines - having read the review I now can't wait for a collected UA Fanthorpe to arrive by mail and would like to read again her poem 'Friends Meeting House, Frenchay'. At once, or sooner! Can't find online - does anyone have a link or a copy they could share?
Best, Virginia
