Hi Friends,

It appears I may have some misinformation.  I have always had the idea that the "Dear Aunt Hannah",  de Angeli dedicated Thee Hannah to, grew up to be Holiness teacher Hannah Whithall Smith.  Now it seems that another Hannah,  Hannah Carter, recounted the stories of her Quaker childhood to deAngeli.  Whatever the lessons from both Smith and dear little fictionalized Hannah still speak to me.  The God of All Comfort! How beautiful the world is.

P.S.  Even if some criticize the unhappy life that Whithall Smith may have had at times, despite her encouragements,  that doesn't mean her words are of no effect. Unhappiness in life is part of the happiness in life, the human condition, when lived authentically, doncha know?
