How do we understand and recognize prophetic ministry today? Who is called to participate? What are the risks, challenges, and gifts we experience? We will share how Friends are wrestling with this invitation, and explore what each of us is being taught about prophetic ministry today – as individuals and as a prophetic people. The Love that waits to transform every person is also the “refiner’s fire” that burns away the dross and leaves the pure metal, cleansed and ready to be used. How does the call change us? How do we distinguish spiritual guidance from self-will? What community practices can help us remain faithful in ministry?
