2012 “At Jesus’ Feet”
4th Annual
Northeastern Christ-‐Centered Friends Gathering
for both the committed and the curious
TO TAKE PLACE AT PRINDLE POND CONFERENCE CENTER CHARLTON, MA
ON
AUGUST 17-‐20, 2012 FRIDAY-‐MONDAY
This fourth annual gathering of Christ-‐centered Friends from the Northeast at Prindle Pond reaffirms our original epistle from our 2009 gathering: “to Friends everywhere, and to all who seek love, joy, hope, and meaning in life” and “Knowing that language and doctrinal notions have caused unnecessary divisions among people of faith, we have no desire to add to these, but simply to stand with Jesus Christ at an open door, where He offers His light and love.” Our second gathering, 2010, called us to “be Living Epistles of Christ” as written in 2 Corinthians 3:2-‐3. Our third gathering’s statement included: “We joyfully invite each other to continue this experience of our blessed community in Christ, learning and growing together in our faith and practice.”
Fees:
Lodging and Friday dinner thru Monday lunch = $225.00 per person
Tenting and all meals = $150.00 per person
Day attendance only with no meals = $25.00 per person Children receive a 20% discount on all these prices.
Efforts are being made to help make attendance affordable to anyone who wishes to be present. For more information contact Herb Lape, Planning Committee Clerk: lapeherb@gmail.com .
To register for this conference, contact James C. Schultz, Treasurer, 12 South Drive, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 at broschultz@hotmail.com
A Note from the Program Committee:
Our aim is to help ourselves listen, together, at Jesus' feet. While listening, we can expect to receive guidance and the strength to carry out what we are called to do. Christ gives us wisdom, generously and without condescension. He may choose to speak through some of us, or He may communicate His will directly to each of us, without a word being spoken.
We have designed a schedule that will give us time to share stories, hopes and concerns with one another and to learn from one another. There will be extensive times of waiting, unprogrammed worship – times for us to go deeper, to rest in the Love of Christ which transcends language and our individual pride and limitations. There will be times for prayer and worship sharing groups, and times for singing, as well as times for fellowship over meals and during free time.
We hope you will join us to share in this faith adventure.

Thinking of and praying for Friends who will be at Prindle Pond this weekend.
Hi Adria... Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. We will definitely miss your Presence at our gathering. I especially enjoyed meeting andorshipping with you last year. I've thought of you often... I know we are together in Christ's Love.
As far as doing more regional gatherings, I'm interested. We held two such gatherings in New England in 2009 and 2010. I'm open to having one somewhere else if there is energy for it. Let's try to make it happen.
Dear Adria, We will miss you this year. Thank you for your prayers. We will keep you in ours as we gather, awaiting Christ's renewing Presence.
Thanks, Adria, for the prayers. Regular meetings throughout the year sounds good. Please feel free to send me a private message through Quakerquaker to discuss ideas on how we might begin to make it happen. (c:
Friends, I will be out of the country while you gather, much to my chagrin. However, I pray that the Lord's blessings shower down on you as you enjoy the fellowship, comfort, and encouragement of each others' company under the headship of Christ. How can we arrange to meet up with each other more regularly, in smaller, more geographically focused groups, to grow in discipleship?
