Expect to have the discipline of the historical study of Jesus of Nazareth opened to you in this course. The class will consider various methods that are applied to this endeavor as well as the various historical sources that are available. Participants will also be exposed to the full spectrum and landscape of conclusions of different scholars. Finally, discussions (online forums) among participants will be encouraged in order to consider how we might approach historical study of Christian origins from a Quaker theological perspective.
Weekly readings will be assigned from David Boulton's Who On Earth Was Jesus? (You will need to obtain a copy of this book) Pre-registration is required. Register and pay online!
