There’s a guy on campus who stands around with signs that say things like “God hates sin!” and “Repent or perish” with accompanying ham-fisted Bible citations. Yesterday he was outside the university library droning at people.

As I was falling asleep yesterday night, I realized something. I'd been beating myself up about my current inability to sit quietly and listen/wait/worship for longer than about 20 minutes when I'm by myself. I was getting pretty low and feeling like a bad Quaker. (It did not help that I had had a headache all day, and was trying and failing to fall asleep quickly.)

I do not come here as frequently as I used to, nor do I participate in the discussions as often as I used to, but I do wish to start visiting a bit more and participating more as well as get to know thee and other Friends here: the ones I'm used to and fresh newly formed friendships also.
