Thank you for accepting my invitation. I also, look forward to getting to know thee in the days ahead. My husband has been a big help in getting me established here! He is in pain, but healing.
Thank you so kindly! Peace and blessing to thee in Christ's Light,
I wish to thank thee for accepting my friend invitation sometime ago. I have been through nearly three months of insomnia, despondency, and oral surgery. I'm in pain, but healing now. :) Sorry it hath taken me so long a time to reply to thee! I apologise for that. Again, thank thee so kindly. I look forward to getting to know thee better in the coming days and weeks ahead, Lord Willing!
Thanks for connecting here on QuakerQuaker. I look forward to seeing you again at the retreat: Inner Fire—prayer and reflection to kindle, illuminate or renew your service or ministry, Nov 4-6. Info here.
If you think of any other ways to reach out to those who would wish to be there, please let me know.
What do you mean by "Christocentric"? I could guess, but seeing I am learning, may as well ask. :)
Could someone be "Christocentric" and not read the Bible? Call themselves Christian? Not believe that Jesus is the son of God?
For me, I admire Jesus as a teacher, and try to live his teachings as best I can. Those teachings I learned through hearing people talk about the teachings and their understandings of them, and from seeing some very devout and "holy" people be & act. I grew up within a church & have attempted to read the Bible several times. But what in my heart I believe to be his path and what I read in the Bible... just don't match up.
How would you see the liberal branch be more in touch with their roots?
Did you know that QuakerQuaker is 100% reader supported? Our costs run to about $50/month. If you think this kind of outreach and conversation is important, please support it with a monthly subscription or one-time gift.
