Where the Wild Things Are: A Night at Camp Dark Waters

Listen!

Summer may be over, but memories of those warm halcyon days linger on...

As part of my quest to learn what, exactly, makes a Quaker camp, "Quaker," this past August I visited Camp Dark Waters in Medford, New Jersey.  Dark Waters was where I attended camp for many years, and it is still thriving today (despite several recent floods).  During my trip back, I took part in Carnival Night.  Listen as I wander around this world turned upside down--twelve year old clairvoyants, magic marker tattoo artists and shaved ice!  It was a wild night full of bare-foot kids acting like kids.
