While on a mission trip to Peru last December,  our team of four were stressing the importance to the locals . . . to have a direct relationship with God, and not depend upon the pastors for all their spiritual information.   In the middle of the night . . . God came and asked me a question that I had never thought about?

"Why did't my son write a book while he was on the earth and settle this thing once and for all?"

I did . . . as I always do . . . when God arrives  . . .   I said "Lord it's wonderful that your here.  And I'm all ears.  What do you want to teach me?"  

The Lord said " I desire a direct spiritual relationship with all men . . . if my son had written a book . . .  all men would have a relationship with a book and not God."

Now . . .  Jesus said call no man father . . . because there is only one heavenly father.  And call no man teacher . . . because God is our teacher.   

So . . . are you reading every best seller book that has a spiritual flavor . . . or are you spending time with God?
