I love the Man of La Mancha score.  I drove my family crazy playing the album over and over.  It's probably ahead of Jesus Christ Superstar and my BJ Thomas christian albums.  My spirit soars as I hear "to fight the unbeatable foe, to strive with your last ounce of courage, to dream the impossible dream!"  I guess you have to be mad to live that kind of life but isn't that what disciples of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, should be doing?  Shouldn't we live and die as lovers, forgiving those who do not know what they do?  Not worrying about saving face or winning the argument?  Isn't our God big enough to fight his own fights and get his own revenge?  Does God need us to stand up for what is right (as if we really knew what that was for someone else who's heart we can't know)?  Yes to love as Jesus loved is the unreachable star.  It's the Impossible Dream - but only when judged by a standard that says we have to win something outside of ourselves.  When judged by what striving with our last ounce of courage to love does to us personally, Love always wins.
