The culture we are born into . . . has a huge effect on our perspective, our thinking, and our understanding.

As a young child . . . I was told . . . Jesus died on the cross to make amends between God and mankind. I was told . . . God is angry with sin . . . God can not look at sin . . . God demands a sinless life . . . and the death of Jesus . . . made everything right between God and man.

All of the above information about God seemed correct to me . . . because of the culture that I was born into.

However . . . after spending years . . . listening to the voice of God without . . promoting my agenda to God. I've become the student . . . and I have found out . . . it is best to sit at his feet . . . and learn more about him.

I now know . . . that the death of Jesus on the cross . . . did not patch things up with God and mankind. Now I know . . . God was never at odds with mankind. The death of Jesus on the cross . . . expressed God's measure of love for mankind.

Mankind can slap and hit Jesus . . . and God will still say I forgive you . . . you don't know what you are doing. Why does God forgive? . . . Because he loves all the time.

Did the death of Jesus take away the anger of God? No . . . because God is never angry. His is the Almighty.

I looked up the Greek word for anger . . found in the new testament . The same word for anger in our language is "passion."

If you are born into a culture that has angry Gods . . . it becomes next to impossible to establish a relationship with an angry God.

So . . . why would an angry God establish the greatest commandment . . . Love the God thy God with all thy heart, soul, and mind.

Killing is a sin. So how in the world does killing make God happy?

Better yet . . .how does killing a sinless person satisfy  God?

Culture . . . no better way . . . to mess up your mind.

...and that angry God established a Church...and that Church is better than anyone else's church...which Church is that? Why, the one I belong to, of course...the one I've been told is better than anyone else's church...and the religion of the angry God is superior to any other religion...and its adherents are naturally superior to adherents of other religions...because that religion fosters a superior culture...

It's all much simpler once we realize, once we assimilate into our being that God is the loving father and mother of us all and that all that is asked of us is that we love our brothers and sisters....
