Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
New Foundation Fellowship announces the arrival of our new literature website at Foundationpublicationsnffusa.org. At the site are approximately two dozen items available for purchase: books and pamphlets written and/or edited by NFF workers from Britain, Europe, and the United States. One may also subscribe for one or two years to Foundation Papers, a quarterly periodical. The site is clearly organized and easy to use, and we thank Terry Wallace and web designer Dave Casterline for their vision and labor.
With the new site in place, we plan to increase its content monthly by putting up downloadable material and new items. Presently available is a series of ten lectures given by Lewis Benson in Moorestown, New Jersey in 1982, titled Rediscovering the Teaching of George Fox. The lecture topics are as follows:
The following excerpt from the lecture "The New Worship" expresses Benson's intention in examining this topic, but also could stand as a more general statement of his life's work:
"My purpose is rather to begin from a new starting point and to get a new perspective on the problems of contemporary Quakerism, and to bring something into the life of the Society of Friends today which is the heritage of all Quakers but has not survived in any living tradition."
Please visit our new site, see the literature we offer, and read some of Benson's lectures available in the download section. We welcome your opinion of and suggestions for this new resource.
