Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Greetings, Friends,
I’m very pleased to introduce Chapter 1 of MINDING THE LIGHT: Our Collective Journal, a new publication from West Hills Friends in Portland, Oregon.
Journals were once the most characteristic form of Quaker writing, and we hope through this publication to carry on that tradition, less formally. We envision the journal as an ever-growing collection of “God stories” from the lives of members and attenders of West Hills Friends in Portland, Oregon. Each issue is organized around a query, and our writers speak from their own experience, in the first person, within the measure of Light they’ve been given. The query for our first issue is, "When did you First Recognize the Light?"
Our hope is that these stories will transform our way of seeing God and each other and that they will bring comfort to those who seek news of God’s presence in the world. The first issue is attached as PDF file and is also available online at the link below.
