We are thrilled by the response to last week's queries, for our first class in the Jewels of Quakerism Series. So many of you took time and put much thought and heart into answering the questions and sharing your voice in this conversation. Thanks so much for that!

For this week's queries we thought we'd provide you with an overview of where the class is going , so we have included a class description before posing queries. We look forward to your responses and being able to share them next week with you and the rest of the web world. As always, if you have questions or comments or concerns - don't hesitate to get in touch directly.
Week 2 Class Description
Friends have traditionally understood that they were charged with living into "Gospel Order." As "Gospel" is such a charged word in the contemporary cultural landscape, this class will address how Gospel Order has been understood historically, and will investigate some of the signs of living nearer to it today. Among these we will consider the Quaker use of the word "Opening" as revelation, and how Friends have understood, beyond speaking in Meeting, what constitutes Ministry. We will look at some of Fox's early "experimental" Openings, some case studies of Friends living into their Ministry, and what bearing all of this has on our lives. We will ask how we "test" ministry, what Openings have been received by participants, and share experiences of living into, or out of, alignment with Gospel Order.
